It's been a good weekend for music and reading - I've finally discovered a Peter Ackroyd novel I actually
really like (Milton In America) and
duranorak played the Ayria album at me.
The Ayria album kicks much arse. And
Red Shift really deserves to be played in clubs. A lot. Lovely vocals, and a tune to pack dancefloors.
Aside from that... life is getting better slowly but reassuringly steadily. Things That Need To Be Done are being done, my cashflow's recovering from its recent drought, I've rediscovered some enthusiasm for 'goth' (or at least some of its better bits) and I might actually risk some live music on Thursday night.
[No, not goth. Jazz. A pub less than 200m from my house is now hosting monthly jazz nights in collaboration with Warwick Uni. So it's stupidly close, it's a nice pub and it's awfully tempting...]
