President Bush - a model of tact and diplomacy

"There are a number of possible explanations for the diplomatic offence that George Bush has given to Pakistan by the unfortunate use of the term "Paki". It is possible that the president cannot manage more than two syllables without careful coaching. It is possible that he was unaware that the word was offensive. It is possible that he was aware that the word was offensive. None of the above is reassuring."

Unnatural aversions

The problem with using Unix so much at university, back in my youth, is that it's left me with a general unease about some commands.

The nice, simple Adobe Acrobat shortcut to "document info" is Ctrl-D. My subconscious still doesn't want to register the shortcut, and I keep finding myself at least halfway through the drop-down menu navigation before I register that there was a quicker way...
