Good things about today -

I managed to restore the computer room to its original state. All of the tat from the spare bedroom, which was hastily chucked in here when the lodgers arrived, has now been rehoused. So I have deskspace again, I have a chair again, and it's now feasible to spend more than five minutes at the computer without getting claustrophobic or drowning in clutter.
[This means that I might actually get a chance to get some reviews - and those bloody accounts - finished tomorrow]

The Chaos Engine CD arrived in the post today. It's vicious and nasty, which suits my mood perfectly. I'm still being angry, spiky and unpleasant at most people. Live with it.

The not-so-good things are that I'm ill, with a horrible cough and a vanishing voice (all imminent travel plans are on hold until I see how I feel), and that Marc's just cancelled on Whitby.

I might well get the bus in to Browns for lunch tomorrow, though (after all it's, oh, a total of about three minutes actual walking). May see some of you there?

Yup. Only silver lining is that it does solve [livejournal.com profile] mrbear's awkward "I forgot to buy a ticket" problem... ;)

As for the throat/travel, we'll see. Sorry. Crapness, yet again :-(

drink lots of lemon and ginger tea, brew it for ages so it is extra potent & add honey if you have a sweet tooth.
Oh and to boost your immune system try echinea & raspberry tea
You probably knew this already, but anyway it is what I do if I have a sore throat & feel grotty.

apparently the entirety of the UK goth scene has the flu atm ...

there will be 2 winchester people at Dark Trix tonight (instead of the usual 2 cars worth), cause all the rest are ill .... and one of the 2 who ARE going is me, not the healthiset of beings today, but definitely one of the silliest

Cheers!

Advice is much appreciated - I've got problems with ginger (it seriously overloads my taste buds, for some reason), but I think I'll try the echinea & raspberry.

Especially as my current hot lime'n'honey approach doesn't seem to be working. :(

Could be a quiet Whitby, at this rate...

Yeah, I was going to be there too - until I decided that travelling in this state was a Really Bad Idea. Bollocks *mope*. Wish Jim a happy b'day for me if you read this in time, will you?

Ginger can make me pull faces sometimes, especially crystalised ginger cubes :-PP
but I like it in tea and stir frys.

Echinacea is a wonder drug apparently, and you can order the tea online even:

will do :) ...

I'm gonna stop at a service station on the way, and try to find a tacky toy for a birthday present, but I'll probably end up resorting to a giant lollipop or something

I think it's running 'round those drafty cliffs last week that left me in this state, actually... :)
