Well, here we are again. Life's been busy. Friday was London again, Saturday to Tuesday were spent in Whitby (I got back just in time for Odie's birthday bash last night), and today's mostly been sleep. There's been a lot of thinking going on, too - it seems to have been a series of catalysts, not a clutter of displacement activity.

I'm still not sure how/if I'll cope with slowing down and settling into the "unemployed in Coventry" thing, though. So far I've avoided it by not actually being in Coventry much (which is nice, but which costs money - and I'm trying to be slightly sensible, for once). A better solution, of course, would be to avoid it by getting another job... :)

And it's weird to have a busy house again. More than that, it's weird to be sharing a house with a couple again - something which I wasn't actually planning on.

Time for a couple of quiet days now, I think. Finish writing up some stuff, tidy the house, do some shopping. Then attempt to be sociable, for a bit.

...and the thing you're writing up is the BiCon accounts?

No, one of the six things I'm writing up is the bicon accounts...

Although, to be honest, there's not a lot more to write up. The main (venue) outgoings are already published, now there's the summary of which cheques went where, and a breakdown of the registration income (which is just a case of summarising Giolla's spreadsheet). There are a few smaller expenses to detail, too - but then that (plus a set of the bank statements), is about it, until I can get hold of a detailed breakdown of the ents costs.

That's good to hear. So we'll have it by Friday evening then? The 2002 team are getting pretty serious about it.

That's a reasonable target, sure. But I'm not going to guarantee that I'll hit it. It may slip to early next week, but not any later than that. As I say, it's not the only task in the list.

YOu could always get a job *and* spend lots of time out of Coventry?

Oh, I *like* that one...

The only problem being getting the job in the first place. Still, it's definitely an idea...
