I wouldn't say it's exactly "aimed" - just vaguely pointed in the direction of North Yorkshire...
This weekend is WGW - the Whitby Gothic Weekend. A lot of people seem to be heading to Whitby for this. Some are buying tickets to see the bands, others will be concentrating on the tea shops, 80s music club night, restaurants, pubs and random gatherings on beaches.
As for Carter USM, they're yet another band who've reformed after a decade or so for a few extra shows. I missed 'em first time around, but I've spent ten years risking life and limb on dancefloors when their songs get played in clubs (they tend to get an... enthusiastic... reaction at the Whitby 80s night, in particular). I'm looking forward to finally seeing them. :)
