Not quite the quiet life I'd been claiming, but still...

I made it out to the Wwk Uni BeerFest last night, which was fun. Tried small quantities of a few interesting beers (including the rather snazzy Umbel Magna, dark beer with a touch of coriander... very nice!), had the sort of deep Conversations About Life you have with friends when you're in that sort of environment, giggled at assorted silliness, plotted world domination.

And then I was very good - I came straight home (well, ok, with brief diversion via 24hr Tesco for crisps and pringles) and went to bed.

Felt fine this morning, feeling tired-but-refreshed now, not really planning to go back tonight (still got one deadline to meet for Natasha) but you never know...

I remember the Umbel Magna at the UWark beerfest. Got 9 out of ten, iirc. Second only to the Coniston Bluebird and Tim Taylor's landlord. :-)

Last weekend I had a really nice beer flavoured with juniper berries. Gin-flavoured beer! YES! THERE IS A LAWD! :-)
