So, that was the weekend...

Brief, incoherent version: called by [livejournal.com profile] cat_and_loki & [livejournal.com profile] _gh0st_'s place on Friday night, then got the late train down to Southampton. Arrived at midnight. Collapsed in small heap, didn't wake up again until halfway through Saturday morning.

Went to Malediction with the "Elston Posse". Saw (most of the) bands (all rather good - special non-musical mentions go to [livejournal.com profile] lee_chaos for scary helicopter hair and [livejournal.com profile] liz_lowlife for gratuitous air guitar), met many net.goths, misbehaved, took embarrassing photos and had much fun (full review to follow). Somehow lost Geoff the Neph in darkest Reading (but we found him again after a bit). Eventually got home, with some comedy-value incidents en route, and collapsed back into small heap.

Spent Sunday clothes shopping and coping with a surprise visit from distant relatives. Eventually got back to Coventry on the late train, and now need sleep. Much sleep. Familiar small heap meme is calling me. But might just go look at /goth first...

Whoops, you clocked that, then.
I was chided by fellow band members for that!
And Lee *was* a total petal, eh?

But I didn't clock you! Where were you hiding? Seems silly to chat to you here and not at a gig!

:o)

I think *everybody* clocked the air guitar bit...

...will we get a repeat performance in Cambridge? :)

I wasn't exactly hiding - just half-awake and befuddled after the previous night's Train Journey From Hell. I did (I think) finally get to meet Mark Eris, but aside from that I was generally lurking in corners or bouncing about in the crowd. I did mean to say hi, but then I got a little bit distracted. :)

I'll try to be a little more sociable at the Boat Race gig!
