Farewell, Slashgoth.

That came as something of a surprise.

Ooh! rather unexpected.

Eeek.

Ah - the old ways are dying. Will netgoth be next to go?

It was the first thing I checked after seeing this, and it still seems to be there.

Slashgoth's had some problems recently - the email notification for moderators seemed to be broken which, combined with assorted Other Stuff, meant that it wasn't quite getting the attention it deserved. And Jen & Dishmop do have many other things to be doing at the moment.

But still, it was a bit of a surprise...

Ditto. But with no post notification, it was a little bit tricky...

Blimey. *stands in front of UPG and Netgoth*

I don't know.
Every time I have visited in the last year it has hardly been updated!
I stopped posting on there a while back because of this. I guess other people thought the same.
Shame as it was a very useful site in its hay days.

Funnily, I've been reading UKPG a lot more regularly of late, and the way in which spam outweighs content is rather sad to behold. It can regularly go a few days without any posts, and since I have nothing to do with goth any more, I've not felt able to spark up any debate.

I'm not sure whether it's better for a site like slashgoth (which, incidentally, I never found any real use for) to close down, or to limp along like UKPG and always maintain the possibility of a revival...
