There goes my goth credibility...

Over the last couple of days I've been listening to...

Cee-Lo
Gorillaz
The Bravery
Cheikh Lô
Warsaw Village Band
Rico
Hard-Fi
Kurt Weill
Johann Baptist Vanhal
Salif Keita

Aside from Rico, none of it's exactly goth/industrial, is it? Ho hum. :)

Kurt Weill's cool though. Nothing wrong with that!

Any tunes in particular?

The Naxos Symphonies 1&2 / Lady In The Dark release.

I've been on a bit of a Naxos kick recently - it's cheap, there's a great deal of choice and they're very prompt to stick "editor's choice" and "CD of the month" labels on things when they get appropriately good reviews. Which makes it all too easy to pick up three for £15 just to see what they're like...

As for the other stuff, Gorillaz is mostly 'Dirty Harry' and the recent Bravery and Hard-Fi albums tend to get played in full, as does Cheikh Lô's "Lamp Fall". I seem to be acquiring a world music habit. :)

I so agree !
I've just booked to go see "Arms & the Cow" which I'd never even heard of before.

My recent listening includes Sugarbabes and Pussycat Dolls. And Heino. You are not alone in worrying about your goth credentials :-)

Well, Warsaw Village Band could be proto-Joy Division. Except that it isn't.

apart from Gorillaz who I have been into, sorry folks I think all of the others are rather good.

I will not be drawn to make any comments on Sugarbabes, some people!
