Preachers of hate, part #1041

There's a war going on. A war against terror. And in that context, I think sheltering religious extremists while they call for the deaths of infidels overseas is unacceptable, foolish and...

...ah, never mind.

Aye, I saw this a couple of days ago via a blog I read - http://www.ihatepatrobertson.com/archives/2005/08/22/chasing-chavez/

The I Hate Pat Robertson blog is a nice read, if a little biased. ;-)

And I found a link to a place called Media Matters, who have the video. See him ramble on, evidently not quite thinking about what he's saying, and stuffing both feet in his mouth:

Couple of days ago? Gah. Not thinking straight. I meant hours. ;-)

Still, the links are good, and I hope you enjoy them!

Thank'ee

A quick look at the Yahoo! boards - always a good place to find the hard of thinking - also turns up posters invoking the names of Saddam Hussein and Hitler as justification when someone mentioned that Chavez was democratically elected...

I think my favourite thing browsing that news story is his take on Feminism ""It encourages women to leave their husbands, kill their children, practice witchcraft, destroy capitalism and become lesbians." :D

So, feminism is a Good Thing, then...! *grin*

Does he not realize that brainless, reactionary, misogynistic statements like that are likely to push good, church-going women *towards* feminism, rather than away from it? Imbecile!

Like this was something new for Robertson to do. Tele-evangelists... jackasses every last one of them.
