Good question. I'm not sure I have a suitably good answer yet, mind you. I've never been good with diaries, and I'm not sure this would function in the same way anyway - it's got an audience, at least hypothetically, so the stranger contents of my brain aren't likely to escape onto the page.

But it'll do nicely for the occasional rant, and it allows me to put comments in some of the communities on here - that's the aspect that originally grabbed my attention.

Well, things didn't go exactly according to plan, but I found my way from Patrick's place to the station and somehow got back to the Midlands. More or less on time, too.

It's actually quite a pleasant way to start the day - a long pre-work train journey with a good book, a baguette and a double espresso. Although I don't think I'll be making a habit of it.

As for Rome Burns... I'm actually more surprised to see that nobody else has listed D.U.S.T. or the Dream Disciples yet. Have they no taste? :)

[Of course, nobody else has listed the Inchtabokatables, either... but with a name like that, I reckon the band have only themselves to blame... :-)]

*ahem* Right then, it's time for me to get back to work (and packing!) - I'm off to Germany again, first thing tomorrow morning, and I've done absolutely zero preparation so far...
