Kyoto wa totemo kirei, desu ne?

[Yes, I know, I probably got the grammar and/or romanji spellings wrong - it's been a while]

I've been promising myself a trip to Kyoto for three years now, but time and money have prevented it from happening. My self-imposed deadline was my 30th birthday (April 25th, this year).

As of April 1st I'm redundant, but with a reasonable pay-off. That's workable. There are probably much better uses for that money, but I won't spend it all. So to hell with it, why not go to Kyoto? Anyone know what the weather's likely to be like out there in April?

Have fun. I'd say 'buy me some of those geisha hairstick things with hanging windchimey things on' but I know what happens when I send you to do my shopping. This mean you're another Whitby dropout?

Hell, no!

I'm thinking of heading off in the first week of April, heading back around the 15-17th. Maybe. I'm still looking at dates.

WGW (and associated birthday chaos) is still very definitely on the agenda.

Wa! Sugoidesune!

(Wow, that's great)
Kyoto shitai ikimasuka?

I haven't been yet, either and was planning a weekend trip there. I live just a few hours south of Kyoto. Worse case scenerio I might be able to hook you up with a few resources and a few people to help show you around. :)

Bah.
