Obscure 80s TV shows

So. A question. Which, if any, of the following shows have you seen...

[Poll #423359]

Update: Sledge Hammer! season one is about to come out on DVD, it seems. Hmm. Whatever its flaws, season one had 'Magnum Farce' and a very funny finale... :)

The Highwayman....?

Sadly, I think it involved a big truck rather than some Michael Praed-alike in a tricorne. :(

*Rapidly loses interest*.

Vigilante with no name fighting crime. The cabin of his truck doubles as the cockpit of his detachable helicopter.

A bit like Mad Max crossed with Knight Rider. Some details can be found here.

Wasn't Sledgehammer the forerunner to the .... gah, it's gone. Anyway, of the Airplane ilk.

Nope. That was Police Squad, which preceded The Naked Gun movies.

Well, I'm glad that at least someone had a clue what I was on about!

Dear god I feel old now.

Judging by some of the poll answers, You Are Not Alone. :)

I'm feeling much better now that I know I didn't hallucinate some of these, anyway. Although it seems we're the only two people alive who remember Tales of the Gold Monkey...

*does some research* Ah, in Germany Tales only ran on cable tv before I had access to it.

And me. Terminal (geographically-challenged) Raiders of the Lost Ark geek that I was, I watched *everything* in that genre in those days.

Ich auch for Tales...

Chelmsford 123 was stunningly brilliant! However, I still have never been able to get the image of Rory McGrath in a fur loincloth out of head...and it still hurts today.

Hmm. That explains a lot about you, really... :)

How could you forget Terrahawks. How could you!?

I think Zelda made an appearance on that celebrity Big Brother thing, but she's calling herself Jackie Stallone now...

Sledgehammer was great late-night ITV viewing for unemployed people. I found it unaccountably hilarious! David Rache went on to appear in another obscure-and-dire-but-unaccountably-hilarious US show called Nurses, which they repeat from time to time on Freeview-available channel abc1.

I remember some of the others, but I don't believe I ever sat through an entire episode!
