A band by any other name...

Well, the November WGW line-up has now been (mostly) announced. And the BotB bands are "Beautiful Deadly Children" (nice name, makes a good TLA), "Season's End" (a bunch I've heard of - and will be seeing at the Underworld in a week or two), "Ordinary Psycho" (another good name) and "Sperm Whale".

"Sperm Whale"?!

Granted, it's memorable. And, knowing goths, it probably won't harm their T-shirt sales any. But, still, I do have to wonder... <shakes head>

Would it be deeply cynical of me to suggest that most of the budget has gone on April? Still I have to agree, its a pretty good line up, despite my reservations about the possible shift in audience. Fingers crossed that Last Rites do accept November.

I think 'Beautiful Deadly Children' is a syllable or two too long, and as for 'BDC', I think it'd probably lend itself to shouts of 'Bidet what?' in overcrowded clubs. Still, for all I know the band themselves are utterly wonderful.
