Deep frozen mopiness

*sigh* I'm missing the Calling already. And Exile, for that matter. More generally, I'm missing the chance to go out somewhere (anywhere!) alternative where the atmosphere is just a little bit healthier than here (and yes, I just happen to be missing a lot of the people too...:).

My mood may improve if and when the planned DaveH roadtrip plan comes together, but in the mean time I'm more or less stuck in Cov. It's cold (the heating is still misbehaving) and grey, there's nobody about and there's sod all for me to do here until Jan 4th.

Somebody throw a party or something, please. Or start a riot. Anything to liven things up. So far, the most notable event of my day has been someone swapping the chicken soup for the hot chocolate in our office coffee machine (and you don't want to know what that did to the mocchacino...).

I know, and it's sorely missed... it's just that Exile is also on hiatus, which leaves me with very few reliable escapes from the soul-destroying apathy that is Cov (a place which was officially voted "pantsiest thing" in the first annual upg poll, I discover...).

To be fair, this is not normally a bad place to be. It's just not terribly good (for me) right now, for various reasons.

...which clashes with my sole scheduled escape from Cov, to go see AAE in London. Which, admittedly, will probably cheer me up. I never stay mopey for too long, anyway (short attention span :). It's just not been a good day.

Tell me about it...Iv got a cold which at the moment is being masked by a cocktail of medication....there are only 2 of us in today...great...so thats treble the work load.....and Im becoming homiciadal at the moment...:)

Yep, sounds about the same as here.

The boss carefully sent his "I'm on holiday Thursday" e-mail from home, after we'd all left on Wednesday night. Presumably so that we didn't try to collar him with all the pending Purchase Orders and other stuff to be approved.

*sigh* Ah, chaos.

Please dont say "Purchase Order"...I might cry....Im a buyer and all Iv had is grief from people...who have suddenly decided that they need all this suff in now...from suppilers we havnt got accounts set up for and for things they dont have budget approval for....but for some reason its all my fault.......well thats the line they are attempting to take...but a brief assessment of my fast approaching homicidal state...seems to be making them back off......
