From the BBC...

Remember the story about the US Army muslim chaplain who was accused of "improperly handling classified information" from Guantanamo bay, with the implication that he might be leaking it to Islamic radicals? Also charged with pornography offences, adultery, making a false statement... caused quite a stir (and quite a scare) at the time. Had some parts of the US press claiming that Al-Qaeda had infiltrated the army...

All charges dropped. What a surprise.

I'm so horribly shallow. I clicked on the link and my very first thought was "hmm... he has nice skin".

Something I have to ask - its been bugging me for a long time. What the heck is that black-and-white user pic you often use? The best I can make out its an enormous and angry white mole rat facing right behind some black rocks.

mole rat?!

Harsh! :) It's a section of a character design sketch that Yoshitaka Amano (one of my favourite Japanese artists) did for a computer game.

I can't find the exact pic it came from at the moment, but there's a very similar one here:

Hopefully that puts it into context...

Remember the three released from Guantanamo Bay last week? The Sun's front page headline yesterday was claiming they were all trained al Qaeda terrorists and should all be locked up immediately.
