One of thoe sheepish moments...

Yet another meme-thing, nicked from [livejournal.com profile] mistressmalaise.

I'm bored. Post a comment and I will tell you something I like about you.

Edit: No, no, no! I say things about you. Some of you are thinking about an entirely different meme. But thanks for the kind words, anyway.

Did I ever thank you for telling me about Elf Only Inn?

It's excellent, thank you.

[identity profile] mrph.livejournal.com 2004-03-14 08:48 am (UTC)(link)
That's ok - I owe you for introducing me to at least half a dozen good bands, mostly via the Calling.

I suppose that but qualifies for the meme on a technicality, but I should also mention that you're always interesting to talk to and you write very well.

Let's brush over the eighty dodgy ones shall we. ;)

This reminds me, I haven't seen you in ages. We shall have to engineer a crossing of paths this year.

"Baaaaa!"

[identity profile] mrph.livejournal.com 2004-03-14 08:53 am (UTC)(link)
You've got a wicked sense of humour, a great sense of style and a very sharp brain. One of the people I'm always glad to see.

Okay...you twisted my arm. :-)

[identity profile] mrph.livejournal.com 2004-03-14 08:43 am (UTC)(link)
You're a genuinely nice bloke, you have a daft sense of humour, and you've got two things I wish I had - the confidence to stand on stage and the ability to grow a decent beard!

[identity profile] zarbi.livejournal.com 2004-03-12 12:58 pm (UTC)(link)
You introduce me to wonderful things - Elf Only Inn, Bone, Neil Gaiman.

[identity profile] mrph.livejournal.com 2004-03-14 08:54 am (UTC)(link)
No, no... I'm supposed to say stuff about you!

Such as that you're a great cook, always interesting to talk to and a generally nice bloke. :)

[identity profile] zarbi.livejournal.com 2004-03-14 03:11 pm (UTC)(link)
I know that was the point, but I feel that it would be good manners to first point out nice things about you first. Did I mention your great hair?

[identity profile] x-mass.livejournal.com 2004-03-12 01:02 pm (UTC)(link)
no need i think your wonderful and it annoys me that i dont get to spend more time with you

[identity profile] mrph.livejournal.com 2004-03-14 08:58 am (UTC)(link)
Well, I'll probably make it back to BiCon one day (but almost certainly not this year) - and I'm sure we'll meet at Browns at some point.

But as for the meme... you'll go a long way out of your way to be helpful, you worry about people (and in a good way - recent phone calls have been ample proof of that), and you manage to be practical and determined when need be. You also have good taste in SF. :)

[identity profile] x-mass.livejournal.com 2004-03-14 09:28 am (UTC)(link)
oh wow thanks
I just wish it were all true

*BANG* BIG LOUD *BANG*

Need more beer..

[identity profile] mrph.livejournal.com 2004-03-14 08:45 am (UTC)(link)
You're worryingly mad and have a talent for finding really good coffee. Even more worrying, I think you're actually going to be a really good parent... :)

Hmm. Integrity, determination, a worryingly dry sense of humour and great taste in alcohol and hats.

[identity profile] mrph.livejournal.com 2004-03-14 09:02 am (UTC)(link)
...I suppose great taste in cycles should count as a negative (at least in my book), but I think we can waive that. :)

You're also a great person for swapping geek rants with. Something which I tend to forget, as it's not often we seem to get the chance!

Massage my ego...*grin*

[identity profile] mrph.livejournal.com 2004-03-14 08:46 am (UTC)(link)
You've got a great way with words - in particular, with colourful imagery - and you can reduce pretty much anyone to hysterics after a few minutes of conversation. You're also a remarkably sound bloke and a good voice of reason.

[identity profile] mrph.livejournal.com 2004-03-14 08:51 am (UTC)(link)
You're great company, you're always wonderful to talk to, your enthusiasm for music (and sometimes life in general) is contagious and you're generally great. :)

Or not, if it's dropped too far down your journal...

You're a deeply patient person? No? :)

You've got a wickedly dry wit and you're very perceptive. You're also someone who can be relied on to be a deeply nice bloke in any kind of crisis.

Oh, and you're scarily good at ejecting obstreperous drunks. Especially when [livejournal.com profile] aldric is helping, too...
