Grrr

Well, I seem to have some email problems. Trying to fix them atm (which may include a rather dodgy solution...), but in the mean time I'm back onto various webmails.

On the plus side, InFest was fun. Well, mostly fun.

More later.

agreed Infest was mostly fun, but for me, sad to say, not nearly as memorable as the previous five. I think it significant that there was not one single female performer onstage throughout the fourteen 'bands' (can you call something a 'band'when it's a solo performance?)

I'd noticed the lack of female band members too - I suppose that if S.I.N.A hadn't cancelled there would have been at least a token presence, but even so...

I dunno. I think one of the problems for me this time is that [livejournal.com profile] mrbear and I split the reviewing duties in entirely the wrong way, so I was either working or clockwatching throughout. The sobriety may not have helped either. :)

I didn't seem to enjoy Culture Kultur or SITD nearly as much as most other people I know, either. Ho hum. Still glad I went, and still had some nice surprises for me - Resurrection Eve and Needle Sharing, plus a chance to see Tarantella Serpentine 'properly' for the first time. But... yeah...

Last year (my first) had Winterkalte and Welle:Erdball, both of which I loved. Nothing this year quite compared (although Resurrection Eve came close). Maybe next year we'll get a better selection - the "who would you like to see?" list on the form was promising, anyway... (and I'm tempted to start a discussion about that in [livejournal.com profile] infest_uk... hmmm...)
