Well, that ended the evening with a bang. A large chunk of my kitchen ceiling just collapsed, showering the kitchen with large, heavy lumps of plaster. Thankfully, nobody was below it at the time.

I've done the basic tidying up now, and I'll think about recovery plans tomorrow. Right now, I need sleep.

We had some bath-overflow flooding a while back. I didn't think it had done any long-term damage.
